About Me

My name is Rowan Morgana, I'm a Wiccan Priestess of Sacred Haven Coven.  We're located on beautiful, mystical Vancouver Island.  Our Coven has been in existence for over 22 years and together we celebrate the  Turning of the Wheel which is the eight seasonal holy days of the year called Sabbats. At present we have 6  members aged from 40ish to 70ish.

As well as celebrating the Sabbats we also meet twice a month for  Full Moon and Dark Moon Esbats where we worship, pray, study, create magick and discuss Coven concerns.

Do you believe in magick? I certainly do, I've seen it work many times, though not always in the ways that I imagined! The most important first step to creating a magick spell is KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. Nebulous longings, scattered ideas, or generalities will get you nowhere in magick.  In order for magick to work, you must focus your intention.  For instance, say you’re unhappy with the way your life is going and want to cast a spell to “improve” your life.  Instead of going with the general idea of “improve”, your chances of success with magick greatly increases if you choose one aspect of your life and focus on it.  All magick demands laser beam focus and intention, you must be able to strongly visualize the result that you want.

There is something immensely satisfying about gathering spell ingredients; the incense, oils, candles, and stones, researching the most auspicious timing and writing a petition, prayer, chant or rhyme, all combine to bring you into a magickal state of mind.  Once you begin your spell, the sight of the candle(s) burning, crystals and stones and statues on your Altar, the scent of the incense smoke and the sounds of your prayers or chants create energy that you direct with your Will. The Divine spark of the God/dess lives within each of us, magick lives within us all too!

As a Wiccan Priestess, ritual is the most important aspect of my faith.  Honouring the phases of the Moon with my Coven Sisters, and the waning and waxing magicks that we perform, keep me grounded and mindful of the changing tides of energy. The increasing, decreasing, new, full and black phases, give us many opportunities to create rituals and magick that correspond to our needs and desires and that teach us timely lessons. The Eight Sabbats have many different facets, many different opportunities to craft rituals of beauty, mirth, reverence, and mysticism. A finely crafted Ritual is also a parable that can bring enlightenment and a deeper faith.

Blessings and Peace to all.
